ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Learning & Capability Specialist plays a key role in the delivery of RFW’s strategic enabler – Invest in People & Culture. Specifically, the Learning & Capability Specialist will partner with the business to shape, develop and deliver HR plans and solutions to achieve our goal of becoming a learning organisation.

In particular this role will:

  • Provide expert learning & development advice and guidance to managers across the business
  • Lead projects and/or working groups in the implementation of the HR Strategic Plan, including but not limited to the development and implementation of:
    • Learning and development framework and associated programs
    • Leadership capability framework and associated programs
    • Succession planning framework and associated programs
    • Individual and organisational performance framework and associated programs
  • Develop and deliver training on our all systems, including our new health systems, such as Connect and EHR.
  • Manage the learning and development functions of Royal Far West, including program design, development and implementation

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, Learning & Development or previous experience in a similar role
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a specialised learning and development role
  • Previous experience in leading projects and/or working groups to deliver strategic plan initiatives
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritise workload to achieve project milestones in agreed timeframes
  • Experience in designing, developing, implementing and facilitating engaging learning and development programs using a range of mediums, including face to face, online and e-learning.
  • Previous experience operating as an administrator of a learning management system
  • Ability to work within a small team and multitask and support fellow team members during peak periods
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the business
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and high level of attention to detail
  • A commitment to exercising initiative and enhancing systems/processes
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and support co-workers
