About the Position

This is a full-time role.

The Adaptive Technology Specialist will provide an adaptive technology service, including research, assessment, training, support, and advice to people who are blind or vision impaired.

About You

Essential Criteria

  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware/peripherals and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • The ability to effectively demonstrate adaptive technology and promote its benefits.
  • The capacity to provide an effective assessment and advisory service on the use of adaptive technology.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working in the Disability or Aged Care Sector.
  • An understanding of eye conditions and how they impact on an individual.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Special Conditions

  • Clearances including National Criminal History Check and Department of Human Services (DHS) and NDIS screening will be required before commencement.
