About the Role

The RSPCA NSW is looking for an experienced and passionate Community Fundraising Manager to help protect, save and care for animals in need.

As the Community Fundraising Manager at RSPCA NSW, you will be responsible for the execution, development, and implementation of community fundraising campaigns to grow income, increase engagement and raise awareness of both state-wide and national digital and in-person peer-to-peer events.

You will be responsible for driving fundraising income by increasing participant retention, innovating community fundraising activities, and evolving and further segmenting donor stewardship journeys.

Leading on national flagship campaigns such as Million Paws Walk, you will work with other RSPCA Community Fundraising Managers across the country to lead and execute inspiring campaigns which are critical in raising funds to protect and save animals.

Duties and Responsibilities

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Develop and execute a community fundraising strategy to drive revenue and engagement.
  • Manage relationships with key supporters and third-party agencies.
  • Explore new and innovative ways to increase interest in events and community fundraising, expand mass-participation events, and develop and evolve plans to achieve targets and maximise growth opportunities.
  • Manage event logistics inc. booking of exhibitors, catering, volunteer management, entertainment, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider fundraising, corporate partnerships, marketing and communications teams to ensure success of campaigns and events while seeking opportunities for improvement, learning and innovation.
  • Refine stewardship process for event participants, focusing on retention and conversion.
  • Manage, motivate, and assist community fundraisers.
  • Stay current with relevant trends and technologies and best practice fundraising in the community fundraising space.
  • Responsible for analysis and reporting.
  • Management of event budgets.

About You

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing events and community fundraising programs.
  • Outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce with knowledge of integration of fundraising platforms such as Funraisin and Raisley highly desirable.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Proven track record in the community fundraising or events space, both physical and digital.
  • Self-motivated and passionate about animals.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
