The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals NSW is Australia's preeminent animal welfare organisation. We provide a strong voice for animals experiencing cruelty and neglect. The RSPCA is committed to the care and welfare of animals, providing extensive professional facilities, including fully equipped veterinary hospitals and our state-wide shelter network, with dedicated staff located throughout NSW to care for animals.

Our Tuggerah Care Centre is now looking for a motivated and energetic Groomer to join our dedicated team. This is a part-time position and will require you to work alternate hours 9am-5:30pm at our RSPCA Tuggerah Care Centre Monday and Tuesday.

Responsibilities will include;

• Provide high quality grooming for customers and RSPCA animals
• Promote the grooming service to members of the public
• Assist in the marketing and advertising of our service
• Promote the animal wellbeing expertise of the RSPCA
• Phone call duties regarding grooming appointments
• Promotion and sale of grooming products
• Attend monthly meetings and training
• Assist customers with queries and provide advice in relation to animal welfare and wellbeing

To be successful in this role

You will need to have the following attributes, skills and experience:

• Tertiary Qualifications in animal grooming essential
• Minimum 1 year experience in grooming
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience in customer service
• Current NSW Drivers Licence
• Ability to lift up to 20kgs
• Excellent customer service
• Team player
