about the role:

RSPCA Tasmania is seeking a self-motivated, dedicated and experienced Animal Care Coordinator to join our team and oversee the care of all animals in our facilities.

Reporting to our CEO, you will be responsible for all aspects of animal welfare including developing a scheduled care and feeding program, undertaking daily health checks on all animals, overseeing animal transport between our facilities and cooperating with consulting vets in respect to the examination and treatment of animals.

An important part of your day to day responsibilities is to provide instructions and assistance to our Animal Care Attendants and Animal Retail Assistants, to ensure the health and wellbeing of all animals under our care.

Qualifications in Veterinary Nursing is required.

Current Tasmanian driver’s licence free of restriction is essential.
