About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Donor Administration Officer to join our Fundraising Team in either a permanent full-time capacity. Reporting to the Donor Development Manager you will be responsible for performing donor administration processes and supporting the fundraising program for RSPCA Victoria to enable the organisation to achieve its vision of ending cruelty to all animals.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Donor Development Manager, you will:

  • Provide timely and efficient administration support to the Donor Development team, including responding to daily supporter enquiries via email and phone, processing of donations, membership nominations, and mailing welcome letters and packs each week to new donors.
  • Provide excellent customer service and donor care, ensuring that all queries, receipting, deductions and rejected/default donations, as well as the production of additional donor requests, are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide support in the implementation of the fundraising program whilst working collaboratively with the wider team.
  • Contribute to donor operations, including maintaining the integrity of data entry processes, maintaining database records ensuring privacy of donor information, opening and sorting mail, donation processing and banking administration of campaign and regular giving donation programs.
  • Provide administrative support to the wider Fundraising team as required.

What we are looking for from you

  • Previous experience in a similar role that requires strong administration and organisational skills.
  • High level literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills, including intermediate computer skills (including use of Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint).
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a team environment with a strong workplace culture
  • Previous utilisation of a donor management or customer relationship management database will be highly regarded, but not essential
  • Understanding of CRM database management and data driven marketing best practice will also be highly regarded.
  • Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History check
