We have an exciting new position as an Events and Administration Coordinator (Advance to Zero Campaign). This role reports into the Adelaide-based CEO.

Ruah, based in WA, in partnership with The Australian Alliance to End Homelessness (AAEH) has a joint venture to support chronic homelessness in Adelaide. This is a 12 month fixed term position, working 38 hours per week.

The Australian Alliance to End Homelessness (AAEH) is an independent champion for preventing and ending homelessness in Australia. We are a community of practice that has, since 2013, supported organisations and local communities to work collaboratively to end homelessness in Australia, starting with rough sleeping.

The role will support the CEO, Board and various partners from the many communities involved in the AAEH’s Advance to Zero Campaign and Allied Networks – including the Health, Housing and Homelessness Network, the Ending Veteran’s Homelessness Network, and the South Australian Alliance to End Homelessness. Key responsibilities of this position include supporting the implementation of a wide variety of administrative tasks, planning, bookkeeping, budgeting, staging of events as well as assisting with other actions as required including drafting papers, plans, newsletters, correspondence, minutes, etc.

Remuneration

Level 4 of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - $74,417 (plus 10% Super) per annum depending on experience.

We are looking for

A highly motivated and energetic individual who is looking to work in a values based, collaborative and dynamic environment. The person should be confident in their ability to prioritise their workload and to manage a number of activities at the same time - in a small and geographically disbursed organisation.

Knowledge & Experience Criteria

  • An interest in ending homelessness and an understanding of working collaboratively.
  • Relevant qualifications in a related discipline at degree, diploma, or certificate level/less formal qualification with work experience in coordinating events in a busy, results driven and continuously improving environment, including budgeting processes and financial reporting.
  • Experience in Xero Accounting Software and business development.
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of various software, applications, and databases – including Microsoft Office, Google Suite as well as various stakeholder and project management software.
  • Advanced verbal communication and organisational skills to use initiative with demonstrated coordinate concurrent activities and manage competing demands, meeting timeframes and timely reporting.

Qualification/s

  • Degree qualification and/or relevant experience.
