ROLE

Reporting to the Managing Director, this three day per week role (0.6 FTE) is responsible for growing our donor base nationally, including finding other funding streams and diversifying the organisation’s income.

Success in this role will be measured by increasing the fundraising revenue of Running for Premature Babies, growing and diversifying our donor or supporter base and building positive relationships with donors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and realise new corporate and community supporters/fundraisers, and investigate avenues for expansion, to meet agreed fundraising financial targets.
  • Build strong relationships across key existing and new corporate and community supporters/ fundraisers
  • Maintain strong communication and provide support to corporate partners and fundraisers, working with other Running for Premature Babies team members
  • Develop strategic and appropriate fundraising resources
  • Ensure appropriate reporting and compliance with all relevant fundraising legislation
  • Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of our work and impact, and donor reporting.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person who is passionate about the work of Running for Premature Babies and aligned with our values, goals and objectives.

An experienced fundraiser in expanding fundraising revenue for non-profit, you know how to engage donors and get people on board with a social cause and to take action.

A persuasive communicator, you will have the ability to engage new people and organisations and increase their awareness of the work of Running for Premature Babies, making others excited about being a part of the impact we create.

It’s essential that you’re able to be flexible and adaptable and pull up your sleeves and work in other areas on occasion to support the wider team.

ESSENTIAL

  • Experience in a community fundraising role and donor stewardship - across individuals, community groups and corporates
  • Experience in expanding revenue for not for profits
  • Experience fundraising through appeals, corporate giving and sponsorships, bequests and events.
  • Have great negotiation and communication skills (both verbal and written) and be a comfortable public speaker.
  • An ability to build relationships with all external partners and fundraisers, using face to face, phone, email and personalised video.
  • Experience dealing with donors and managing expectations.
  • Experience in Customer Relationship Management database analysis (Salesforce preferred) and fundraising platforms (FunRaisin, Grassrootz)
  • An understanding of the Australian fundraising landscape and the different players and opportunities.
  • Able to work independently and resourcefully
  • Proven ability to seek out opportunities and act on them.
  • A genuine passion for the vision and mission of the organisation.

This is a 0.6 Full Time Equivalent position based at our office in Coogee with some work from home. A competitive salary will be offered to the right person, and, as a registered charity, Running for Premature Babies employees are entitled to salary packaging thereby reducing their tax liability and increasing their take home pay.

TIMING

The role formally commences 1 September 2021 and finishes 1 September 2022.
