How we support you:

Safe Places for Children offers a comprehensive induction program that encompasses classroom, online and on-the-job training. The induction program is designed to provide individuals both new to the industry as well experienced/qualified youth workers new to our organisation a solid understanding of the day in the life of a Youth Worker at Safe Places and the skills, knowledge and practice, to work within our Integrated Practice Framework.

Due to the trauma sensitive work of our Youth Workers, we require our inductee Youth Workers to successfully complete the Induction Program before they can be assigned to a young person.

As such, employment offers are made on a casual basis and following the successful completion of the Induction Program, permanent full time offers are made.

Candidates will need to be available to attend the Induction Program which may take approximately three (3) weeks. Delays to successful completion of the Induction Program may occur where employees are unable to attend, there are delays to working with children checks or additional training is to be undertaken.
