THE ROLE:

An exciting opportunity is available for a suitably experienced, qualified and dynamic Learning and Development Coordinator to join the team at Samarinda. Working closely with a range of stakeholders across the organisation, the key areas of this position are;

  • Coordinate the learning and development program for the organisation.
  • Facilitate training and assessment in line with contemporary best practice and adult learning principles.
  • Plan, deliver, monitor, evaluate and report on all training.
  • Conduct training needs analysis processes.
  • Providing expert advice on training matters, compliance and industry requirements.
  • Maintain the Learning Management System (LMS).

This is a full time position Monday to Friday based in Ashburton. You may be required out of usual office hours to deliver training or assessment depending on operational needs.

As our new L&D Coordinator you will have…..

  • Relevant experience within aged care/health care/disability or similar environment.
  • Proven experience facilitating training sessions and conducting competency based assessments (including with adults where English is a second language).
  • Ability to conduct training needs analysis and evaluation of programs.
  • Knowledge of current trends in organisational development, education and learning and aged care.
  • Extensive understanding of quality improvement and the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) accreditation process, and evidence of using education to produce quality outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of a Learning Management System (MedeHealth preferred).
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (preferred) or significant current study towards such a qualification.
  • Project management abilities.
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a diverse workforce.
  • A drive to deliver exceptional service, attention to detail, and foster a learning culture.
