ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you passionate about quality and compliance? Do you have related industry experience? If so, then this role is for you. A rare and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified and experienced senior manager to lead and influence quality and compliance at Samarinda. Reporting to the CEO and part of the executive management team, this is both a ‘hands on’ operational and strategic role.

Key responsibilities (include but not limited to);

  • Setting, leading and implementing the quality, compliance and OH&S strategic direction, systems and processes for the organisation.
  • Providing expert advice on quality, compliance and OH&S matters to managers, staff and all stakeholders.
  • Developing and ensuring a culture that promotes quality and safety.
  • Reviewing and maintaining compliance and overseeing and conducting audits and assessments.
  • Working closely with managers to ensure audit actions identified are implemented.
  • Ensuring that all policies and procedures are in place, relevant, updated, document controlled, and consistent throughout the organisation and reviewed in accordance with requirements.
  • Ongoing management and ensuring compliance with respect to residential and community accreditation requirements.

ABOUT YOU: The Essentials...

As our new Quality and Compliance Manager you will need to have the following;

  • Relevant management experience leading and implementing quality, risk and policy frameworks in the aged care, health or community care sectors.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (quality, health, community services or a similar area).
  • Lead auditor qualifications or Quality Aged Care Assessor qualifications (highly desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic guidance and advice on matters relating to quality, compliance, risk management and training.
  • Extensive understanding of, and experience implementing Aged Care Quality Standards (Residential, Home Care, CHSP and NDIS Practices Standard).
  • Experience in evaluating workplace practices against accreditation standards, quality systems and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience leading continuous quality improvement.
  • Ability to provide support and advice in all matters relating to Quality System requirements.
  • Have a hands on approach and attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively assess a situation and respond appropriately.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills with ability to develop, lead and support a small team.
