Be an important part of our Finance team by ensuring our accounts payable processes are running smoothly and effectively for all business users. We need you - an experienced Accounts Payable Officer who is brilliant with numbers and works both quickly and accurately whilst maintaining outstanding levels of customer service. We need you to look at the big picture and add value to our processes and capabilities.

Where you come in:

In this full-time fixed term position (6 months with strong potential for extension), based in Carlton*, you'll work on end-to-end accounts payable transactions for domestic and international suppliers, data entry, and administration relating to expense and accounts payable functions, as well as working on process improvements and implementation of changes to help the team work as efficiently and effectively as possible. You'll be part of our Finance and Support Services team and report to the Team Lead for Transactional & Treasury Accounting.

You will make an impact by:

  • Monitoring the ticketing system to ensure queries are resolved swiftly and with high levels of customer service
  • Processing invoices and matching with purchase orders
  • Monitoring and compliance reporting around credit card expenditure
  • Maintaining appropriate process controls to ensure financial and compliance deliverables are met
  • Generating weekly payment runs for domestic and international suppliers
  • Identifying and assisting in implementing changes to processes and procedures

You love collaborating with a diverse range of people and you're quick to learn new systems with a high level of attention to detail and quality. You're extremely efficient and have a natural ability to identify issues and get to the heart of problems and assist with implementing changes that will ensure processes are simpler and faster in the future.

This role requires:

  • Experience in high-volume data entry and administration with proven accuracy and speed
  • High standard of verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to identify areas of manual processing for process improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience working with financial and numerical data
  • Certificate or Diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping, or progressing towards
