We need you to give these children an experience of quality early childhood education, to develop theirappetite for learning and help enable a smooth transition into school.

Where you come in:

In these casual positions (four positions available), based in Mooroopna, you will work with the Kindergarten team to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of high quality, developmentally and culturally appropriate play and learning experiences for children. You will be part of our Northern Victoria team and report to our Team Leader, Early Childhood Education.

You will make an impact by:

  • Delivering a high-quality educational program for children attending the Mooroopna Kindergarten, consistent with the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Frameworks
  • Supporting the Educational Leader and Early Childhood Teacher in the delivery of 3- to 4-year-old kindergarten program
  • Developing and maintaining respectful, supportive, collaborative, and responsive relationships with staff, children, and families
  • Actively supporting every child to participate in the program, promoting their agency, choices and influence

Does this sound like you?

You have experience in early childhood programs, a 'toolkit' of strategies, and the ability to think on your feet which allows you to find solutions to complex situations. Your infectious enthusiasm for your job will see you actively seeking out families in need of support. You consider yourself a team player, you love partnerships and collaboration, and have an 'all-hands-on-deck' attitude.

This role requires:

  • Approved Certificate III or Diploma (or equivalent) in early childhood teaching
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of a high quality, developmentally appropriate education and care program
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the application of approved learning frameworks, in particular the Victoria Early Years Learning and Development Framework
  • A strong ability to create rapport and build relationships with children and adults from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
