We are looking for an administration superstar to join our People & Culture team! Save the Children is a world-leader in doing whatever it takes to save, protect, and stand up for children. Working as part of our fast-paced and constantly evolving HR Services team, you will provide high-quality administration support and customer service across the organisation.

Where you come in

In this full-time permanent position, based in Carlton*, you'll join an enthusiastic and engaged team to ensure the effective delivery of HR services to the organisation. You'll add value to Save the Children across a number of HR activities, and your confident approach and ability to think laterally will see you engage effectively and build trust with various stakeholders. You'll be part of our HR Services team and report to our Head of HR Operations.

You will make an impact by:

  • Entering and processing pre-employment and ongoing compliance checks
  • Providing our people managers and employees with great customer support on basic HR queries
  • Preparing and distributing new employee paperwork including employment contracts
  • Completing HR tasks for employee workflows (eg. initiating the onboarding/offboarding process, probation reviews)
  • Providing support to employees and people managers on our HR systems and processes
  • Providing managers accurate and meaningful employee reporting

Your attention to detail is second to none and you balance patience and drive to complete essential tasks. You are highly accountable and take pride in delivering exceptional customer service. You are comfortable juggling many deadlines whilst still maintaining an exceptional level of output and accuracy. This role requires:

  • Experience using and maintaining database systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer services skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • High levels of attention to detail and quality
