Unleash your passion for increasing access to quality education by joining our innovative and dynamic EdTech Product team. In this newly created role, be the subject matter expert for our primary learning management system, and play a key part in bridging the digital divide to accelerate technology supported education and training, bringing new opportunity to marginalised communities.
We're transforming the lives of learners and marginalised communities by increasing access to quality education and training opportunity through Education Technology. As a social enterprise of Save the Children Australia (SCA), we leverage Save the Children's global reach and demonstrate an impact that belies our 3-year history. Our mission responds to the challenges of achieving digital inclusion and access to education for all children and youth. We build capacity among teachers and create lasting impact within the International Development sector through supporting EdTech in sustainable and context relevant forms, positioning teachers and trainers at the centre of education and training.
In this full-time, permanent position, you'll manage the Moodle Learning Management System, supporting the development of new features, providing technical support to both internal and external clients and recommending improvements and integrations. Working closely with the broader product team, you'll focus on ensuring that Moodle is optimised for end users. With flexibility to work from home or from our Melbourne or Adelaide offices*, you'll report to the Director EdTech Operations and Products.
You're inspired by the opportunity to work an organisation that is making the world a better place, with a strong personal values alignment with the mission of international development organisations and a deep commitment to the potential of education together with business to effect positive change in the world. A skilled and flexible IT professional, you're particularly adept at explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience, and you have the ability to work confidently with people at all levels in technically challenging cross-cultural contexts.
It's the feeling of knowing that your work is contributing to making the world a better place for those deprived of learning opportunities and working with others who feel the same. In addition to a connection to social causes, you'll benefit from:
* Note - Ideally, the role will be required to attend either the Melbourne or Adelaide office once or twice a month at minimum for meetings, but working remotely at all times is also an option. Subject to COVID-19 protocols, the role can be based regularly from the office if preferred.
We'd love to hear from you. Submit your cover letter and resume by clicking on one of the buttons in the 'Apply' section.
