Where you come in:

In this full-time, permanent position you will work remotely in a location that suits you or alternatively be based in any one of our Save the Children Australia offices. You will provide support and oversight to an assigned program portfolio, including driving the development of new international development, protracted crisis and humanitarian business opportunities, and managing key relationships. You will be part of our International Programs team and report to our Head of Programs.

Reporting to our Head of Programs, you will provide support and oversight to an assigned program portfolio, while driving the development of new international development and humanitarian business opportunities and managing key relationships.

You will make an impact by:

  • Identifying and nurturing key accounts (relationships) with institutional donors,
  • Being the key point of contact for Save the Children Country Offices in the Asia-Pacific Region and working as the Project Lead on projects funded through Save the Children in Australia in the Asia-Pacific region,
  • Identifying new business opportunities and driving the development of new proposals to secure program funding,
  • Identifying and responding to strategic trends and developments, and
  • Working in collaboration with the Head of Programs and the Head of Humanitarian to assist in managing key internal relationships and communications to optimise outcomes for SCA and ensure an appropriate profile for the work of the area.

This role requires:

  • Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills,
  • Strong financial literacy,
  • A high level of organisational and management skills,
  • Experience working in the Asia- Pacific region or similar developing country contexts, highly desirable, and
  • A strong understanding of Australian Government Aid program and requirements of DFAT as a donor and a strong understanding of other regional and global donors, highly desirable
