Where you come in:

In this full-time, 6-month maximum-term contract, based in Smithfield* you will coordinate state retail activities, implementing strategies to achieve annual financial targets and ensuring stores have sufficient support. Leading a small team, you will also have indirect responsibility for more than 500 enthusiastic volunteers.

This role reports to our QLD/NSW Retail Operations Manager and is a key position that contributes directly to our overall organisational strategy.

You will make an impact by:

  • Ensuring consistency across the state network for core retail operations,
  • Working with the QLD/NSW Retail Operations Manager in redressing under-performing stores,
  • Facilitating and implementing the National Retail Strategy,
  • Managing inventory to stores through warehouse processes and efficiencies, and
  • Implementing a retail strategy and managing process change across a state network.
  • Leading and developing the NSW team, including volunteers.

Does this sound like you?

You are a hands-on, commercially astute Operations Manager, with previous experience in a large, multi-store network. A self-starter and natural collaborator, you pride yourself on delivering results through improvements in core retail drivers and financial growth.
This role requires:

  • Solid retail experience for a defined retail store network,
  • Well-developed retail management skills across all aspects of retail including operations, financial management, merchandising and marketing,
  • A solid understanding of retail fundamentals and practices gained in a commercial or not-for-profit retail environment,
  • Exceptional customer service focus with a strong motivation to improve customer experience,
  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills, and a proven track record for managing, engaging, and developing staff.
