At Save the Children, we're passionate about supporting those affected by domestic and family violence (DFV) to rebuild their lives. At our Bridges crisis accommodation service in Brisbane, we provide women and children escaping DFV with urgent safe accommodation when they have nowhere else to go.

In this part-time (30.4 hours), fixed term position through to June 2023 (with potential for extension), you'll join a team of skilled and committed domestic and family and child focused specialists and play a key role in supporting to shape and develop practice within our DFV refuge environments.
You'll provide crisis support within a team-based environment to women and children accessing the service and specialist practice support to refuge staff in these settings.
Reporting to the Team Leader and based in Brisbane, you'll work shifts between 7am - 10pm, Monday to Saturday with additional on call responsibilities.
You have extensive training and experience in the Domestic and Family Violence sector and with working with children and young people.
You're highly adaptable with high levels of initiative and able to confidently assess risk and develop comprehensive safety plans according to individual need.
