Are you passionate about helping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children to get the best possible foundation for learning and life? Save the Children's Ngakulwen Nyerrwe Children and Family Centre works with children and families on Mornington Island, in collaboration with local service providers and community groups. We are looking for an experienced leader, committed to staff development and wellbeing, as well as someone who is genuinely interested in collaboration with external partners.

In this full-time, fixed term position (to June 2024, with potential for extension), based on Mornington Island, you'll work alongside the Director of the Long Day Care Centre to develop a strong commitment to children across all Save the Children programs operating in the community to bridge the gap between early childhood services, family support and health delivery systems in partnership with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, community members, elders and leaders on Mornington Island. You will be part of our Australian Services team and report to our Senior Manager.

You're experienced, vibrant and excited about the prospect of supervising a team and supporting our Children and Family Centre. You're active, creative and flexible in your approach to working with families and children, using a trauma-informed, strengths-based and culturally sensitive framework within communities working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. You have the ability to develop and maintain partnerships with external organisations at all levels, and you can supervise, coach and mentor others with an empathetic approach. You're also an excellent administrator, with great organisational and computer skills.
