In this key leadership role, we need you to drive our dedicated programs team to maximise our impact. You'll manage and develop programs, foster lasting links with the community, seek out new opportunities, develop the capacity of local workers and encourage active engagement with the services we're proud to deliver.

Where you come in:

In this full-time, permanent position, you'll inspire a team of passionate and talented individuals to accomplish ambitious goals for our programs in the Melbourne metro region. Enjoying great work-life flexibility, you'll be able to work from home or at the Carlton head office between visits to program sites in Doveton, Fitzroy, Meadow Heights and Deer Park. Playing a key leadership role in our Victorian services team, you'll report to our Regional Manager - Southern Victoria.

You will make an impact by:

  • Leading and developing a passionate team
  • Supporting the design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of programs
  • Building relationships with the local community and stakeholders

You're an enthusiastic and committed leader with demonstrated experience in managing a multidisciplinary high performing team. Your highly developed cultural awareness and sensitivity, partnered with excellent communication skills, will enable you to strengthen the capacity of our team to support children and families experiencing vulnerability. You're not afraid of a challenge and you thrive in a fast-paced, varied role where no two days are the same.

This role requires:

  • Proven leadership skills, the ability to nurture a cohesive multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate programs
  • Experience working with children and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience in evidence informed practice across early childhood, family support, case management and/or youth development
  • Ability to develop and drive new programs as well as continuous improvement
  • Current valid driver's licence
