In this varied and challenging role, we need you to lead our dedicated programs team across metropolitan Sydney to maximise our impact on the lives of children and families. You'll manage and develop programs, foster lasting links with the community, develop the capacity of local workers and encourage active engagement with the services we're proud to deliver.

Where you come in:

In this full-time, maximum term position (12 months, with potential to extend), you'll inspire, support and enable a team of passionate and talented individuals to accomplish ambitious goals for children and families in the Sydney, Ryde and Canterbury-Bankstown areas. Enjoying great work-life flexibility, you'll work from home when not travelling to engage with team members and program sites. You'll be part of our NSW Team and report to our NSW Metro Regional Manager.

  • Supporting the design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of programs
  • Building relationships with the local community and stakeholders
  • Fostering opportunities for growth, in line with the needs of children and families.

Does this sound like you?

You're an enthusiastic and committed leader with demonstrated experience in managing a multidisciplinary high performing team. Your highly developed cultural awareness and sensitivity, partnered with excellent communication skills, will enable you to strengthen the capacity of our team to support children and families experiencing vulnerability. You're not afraid of a challenge and you constantly seek to grow and develop your team members.

This role requires:

  • Proven leadership skills, the ability to nurture a cohesive multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate programs
  • Experience working with children and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience in evidence informed practice across children's development (including Early Childhood), parenting, families who have experienced domestic and family violence; middle years and youth development (desirable)
  • Ability to develop and drive new programs as well as continuous improvement
  • Current valid driver's licence
