Save the Children has partnered with Western Desert Lands Aboriginal Corporation (WDLAC) to undertake operational management of Martuku Mijijiku Maya (Martu Student Hostel) in Newman. The Hostel will house a maximum of 12 Martu students from remote communities in Newman Western Australia. The Hostel will enable students to attend Newman District Senior High School. Working in close collaboration with Martu people and community, Save the Children will be led by Martu elders and culture in our program development, decision-making, and daily operations. Save the Children takes a long-term community development approach to program implementation by building capacity at the individual, familial and community level. This approach ensures programs generate positive social benefits to the broader community that continue long after programming has ended.

In this part time, maximum term position (ideally four days per week, until January 2024), you'll be based in our Martuku Mijijiku Maya (Martu Student Hostel) in Newman, Western Australia. Reporting to our Team Leader, you'll be responsible for providing high quality supervision, support, and leadership for up to 12 student residents at the Hostel.
