Sydney Women's Fund, a sub-fund of the Sydney Community Foundation, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Program and Fundraising Manager to join our team. For the past 15 years, Sydney Women's Fund has been at the forefront of identifying, co-designing, and funding programs that aim to improve the lives of women and families in Sydney. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO of Sydney Community Foundation, the Chair and members of the Sydney Women's Fund Advisory Council.
  • Lead the creation and management of impactful projects and advocacy initiatives that promote equity and opportunity for women and families across Greater Sydney.
  • Manage fundraising events and campaigns to support the financial sustainability of the fund.
  • Develop and implement effective donor stewardship strategies to cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive partnership/sponsorship program to foster collaborations and secure additional support for the fund.
  • Work towards the goal of granting/funding projects worth $1.5 million per annum.
  • Contribute to building a permanent endowment to facilitate SWF’s future funding sustainability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in program management, preferably in a non-profit or community-based organisation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing gender equity and empowering women and families.
  • Strong understanding of social issues affecting women and families in Sydney.
  • Experience in managing fundraising events and campaigns, including donor acquisition and cultivation.
  • Ability to work in a small team and a collaborative environment
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing donor stewardship strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey the mission and impact of Sydney Women's Fund to various audiences.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain partnerships and secure sponsorships.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Government relations experience to navigate and collaborate with relevant government bodies.
  • Understanding of corporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) requirements and frameworks.
  • Experience in Foundation management is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of grant-making processes and experience in managing grant programs.
  • Familiarity with advocacy and public policy initiatives related to women's issues.
  • Experience in utilising digital marketing and social media platforms for fundraising and awareness campaigns.

Salary: This is a part-time position (4 days per week) with an annual salary of $100,000 (pro rata) plus superannuation.

Start Date: The start date for this position is 1st August 2023.
