Fina Australia is a non-government, not-for-profit provider of Supported Accommodation and Respite Services to people with a disability and their families. As a "client-first" provider, we serve South-East Queensland (Moreton Bay region).

We are currently seeking competent, resilient, and compassionate Disability Support Workers (with or without specific disability sector experience) to support our clients.

How it works

As a Fina Australia employee you will be governed by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS). 

  • As a Share Line employee, you are guaranteed at least 5 eight hour shifts per fortnight
  • You are provided a 12-week permanent rotational roster (Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring) shifts will include mornings (6am), afternoons (2pm), nights (10pm), and every second weekend off.
  • Penalty rates apply on afternoons, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • You must be able to work morning, afternoon and night shifts but will have the flexibility to negotiate shifts with your rostered Share Line partner. 

To be successful in the position you MUST provide all 6 required documents:

  1. Current Queensland Drivers licence
  2. Current First Aid and CPR
  3. Working with Children Check - Blue Card
  4. Yellow Card / NDIS Worker Screening Check
  5. Unrestricted rights to work in Australia
  6. Proof of both Covid-19 Vaccinations 

To progress your application, evidence of all 6 required documents must be provided in your application.  Additionally, you will be required to complete a pre-existing condition disclosure form. 

A Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, Disability Support, Mental Health is desirable.

Our Process:

  • Fina will conduct Referee Checks 
  • Successful Candidates will participate in our 6-week training schedule including:
      • Paid Online Induction Modules
      • Paid Face-to-Face Induction
      • Training with our RN and Behavioural Specialist 
      • On-the-job training to learn client-specific information and protocols 
  • A 6-month probation period
