Sex Education Australia (SEA) is looking for a dynamic social media and marketing assistant. Are you an experienced content creator who believes in the importance of knowledge for empowerment of young people and their families?

Sex Education Australia was founded in 2011 to develop and deliver educational programs in primary and secondary schools in Australia, as well as university students and parents and caregivers. Co-founders Justine Kiely-Scott and Jenny Ackland are committed to raising community awareness, and developing knowledge, skills and resilience in response to the ‘hot topics’ of current times: consent, sexual health, puberty education, body safety, pornography, respect, healthy relationships and others.

Sex Education Australia seeks to hire a tech-savvy person to continue to help build the organisation’s digital presence, primarily in the area of social media. Working with management, the person who fills this role will be involved in producing and posting social content.
We’re looking for someone who is an excellent writer, and who understands what 'voice' and 'tone' mean. Someone who is organised, efficient, has great attention to detail, and has the highest work ethics. You should have at least 2 years of social media experience in a professional setting.
This role includes day-to-day content creation for our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube) as well as assisting with email communications and website content as needed. The Social Media & Marketing Assistant will work with management to help implement strategic campaigns to attract new followers and build brand awareness for SEA on a national level. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, solid knowledge of social media platforms, marketing or communications experience, the ability to demonstrate engagement via social media analytics, and awareness of best practices as they evolve.
Competitive hourly rate plus super, depending on experience. 12-15 hours per week from home, may vary upon mutual agreement.
