The HousingFirst 2021-2026 Strategic Plan ‘Building Stronger Together’ outlines an aspirational growth plan from 1500 homes under management today to 5000 homes by 2026. Reporting to the Chief Resident Services Officer, the GM Housing Services is responsible for leading the teams across the four streams of front-end services, allocations, tenancy management and community development, with key accountability to ensure HousingFirst is achieving (and exceeding) internal and external KPI standards and driving increased resident satisfaction.

The role will also be required to build effective and sustainable relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders including Local, State and Commonwealth funders, peak bodies, trusts and foundations, and other community service organisations and partners.

This is a hands-on operational position that will drive a ‘resident-focus’ approach to support services. It requires a person who can balance ‘business as usual’ operations within a growth context, whilst building a team culture that is empowered and driven to continually improve the quality of services and programs.

To be considered you will require tertiary qualifications in a human services discipline and expert knowledge and strong operational experience working in a similar role in community housing and/or homelessness services or tenancy management. You will have well developed interpersonal skills and an ability to form effective professional relationships with stakeholders across multiple contexts.

This position requires an experienced and highly ethical leader, who has strong people, change management and operational skills. You will be an inclusive, collaborative and credible leader, able to communicate effectively and instil confidence in staff, consumers and stakeholder groups.
