Sexuality Education Counselling and Consultancy Agency (SECCA) is a not-for-profit organisation in West Perth.

SECCA supports people with disability to learn about human relationships, sexuality, and sexual health. We offer a range of services including education and workshops offered to parents, carers, and support staff as well as direct counselling for people who can benefit from education and therapeutic supports in relation to sexuality and relationships.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is goal oriented and outcome focused to carry out project work under the guidance of our Project Lead. You will work collaboratively and side by side with the Project Team to complete work packages to achieve Project objectives. You will have excellent administrative and coordination skills, enjoy researching information and able to meet deadlines accordingly. You will have a natural ability to show initiative, build strong communications across the organisation and with stakeholders to ensure success in what you do.

Key Duties:

  • Contribute to the development of SECCA resources on sexuality and relationships
  • Research and drafting written content
  • Report writing
  • Support the team with action plans, gathering information and actioning key tasks
  • Collate and present data to support decision making
  • Work collaboratively with project team
  • Provide ground level support to Project Lead

What we are looking for:

  • Experience and a qualification in any of the following areas: sexology, health promotion, education
  • Experience in disability (life or work experience)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of factors impacting people with disability and their support networks across a lifespan
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills including presentation and report writing skills
  • Project, time management and organisational skills
  • National Police Clearance
  • Working with Children Card

Desirables:

  • Workplace Training and Assessment or other education qualification and experience
  • Specific knowledge and understanding of various disabilities
  • Knowledge of funded not-for-profit organisations in the disability sector and how they operate

SECCA will provide:

  • A fixed term 12 month contract with a high chance of extension
  • SCHaDS SCSE Award Level 3 pay rate ($62,000 per annum FTE and above dependent on experience)
