We run engaging and innovative events and projects with a focus on sustainability and climate action. SEE Change is a grass-roots, volunteer-led organisation. The SEE Change office staff support our volunteers and community members as they innovate and create change. Together we build community around the central mission of climate action.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You’ll be working closely with the Executive Officer to carry out administrative and management tasks to ensure the smooth running of the overall organisation. You will need to be self-driven and work efficiently and independently at times, while also assisting a diverse group of volunteers and partners. You will be required to network and collaborate with diverse partner organisations and stakeholders.

This role will require you to develop new administrative processes where needed, direct the work of junior staff, and coordinate and assist volunteers.

The role includes a significant commitment to help out at weekend events.

Tasks will include grant writing, project management, updating the website and other communications, assisting with the yearly financial audit, reporting and event management.

You will be required to help manage the Canberra Electric Bike Library and therefore should have a demonstrated interest in active travel or cycling in general.

While you will be required to work for some of the time from our office, the exact timings of when this happens is negotiable. SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Highly organised and able to deliver programs or projects, with strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, phone)
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new software

DESIRABLE:

  • Experience working in the community or environment sector
  • Experience in organising and managing community events
  • Skilled at bike maintenance or experience with electric bikes
