Social Enterprise Network Victoria (SENVIC) is an independent, practitioner-led community of change makers, and a powerful force for good. We foster networking and connection of social enterprise practitioners and enablers, enhance access to learning and development opportunities and raise the voice of the sector with government and other key stakeholders.

The renewed Social Enterprise Strategy and Victorian Government’s ongoing support is a huge boost for social enterprise, and demonstrates that government values SENVIC’s contributions toward creating a thriving social enterprise sector.

SENVIC is also playing a prominent role in national movements including the emergence of ASENA and the development of the SE National Strategy over the coming year.

about the role

We are looking for non-executive Directors that share our passion and will actively drive the growth and sustainability of SENVIC. Together we will foster a dynamic and inclusive board culture in which we each contribute our skills and experience to create collective impact.

The new roles will join our Board from our AGM in October 2022.

Who are you?

You are an emerging or established social enterprise leader committed to our vision for a just, inclusive and sustainable society.

You have a good understanding and appreciation of the social enterprise sector, motivated to support its leadership and contribution to the Victorian economy.

You share our passion for a connected, developing and influential network and are ready to roll up your sleeves.

You will already be a SENVIC member or agree to take up membership when you apply.

The Board is seeking the best person for the job. This is someone who enhances our current skills mix and diversity in relation to age, gender, ethnicity, industry sector, professional skills as well as lived experience.

We are committed to representing the diversity of the social enterprise community and are actively seeking a gender-balance of board members, people from regional Victoria, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, LGBTIQA+ people, people with a disability and people who are neuro-diverse.
