The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) aims to provide individuals with disabilities better access to personalised, high-quality supports and services. Our goal is to enhance independence, social, and economic participation for people with disabilities and their carers.

About the Role

As an NDIS Support Worker, you will:

  • Deliver engaging centre-based/group activities and individual supports.
  • Work collaboratively with a passionate team under the guidance of NDIS Centre Specialist 
  • Help individuals achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.

About You

Your skills and experience

 For further details on the role and the skills and experience required, please view the Position Description 

  1. Certificate IV in a relevant discipline (e.g. mental health, peer work, disability) or equivalent experience. 
  2. Knowledge of the NDIS and the NSW mental health system and local services, or willingness and ability to learn.
  3. Ability to use the recovery- based approach to assist people with severe and persistent mental illness.
  4. Demonstrated values consistent with person-centred ways of working and supporting the person’s choice and control.
  5. Willingness to commit to ongoing learning and education.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively in all interactions with all stakeholders.
  7. Ability to exercise personal responsibility and work as part of a team.
  8. Demonstrated computer literacy to use Microsoft programs and the capability to learn other applications.

One Door Mental Health requires all staff to have a Police Check clearance, a current Working with Children's Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance and appropriate COVID-19 Vaccination.
