Services delivered to our clients will include, but are not limited to: Personal Care, Social Support, Respite and Home-Exercise programs. You can also expect to receive a portion of Domestic Assistance.

To assist our wonderful clients, we are looking for Care Workers both on a casual & perm part-time basis.

You should be available for a minimum of 3 days per week, between Monday to Friday.

Silver Chain understands that these are extraordinary times, so we will work with you and your available days and times to secure the right position for you.

Day Shifts are typically rostered between 7am to 12pm and 12pm to 4pm.

Afternoon/Evening shifts are typically rostered between 4pm to 10pm. (Monday through to Friday)

Silver Chain also have weekend work available, so please advise if you’re able to commit to shifts on Saturday and Sunday.

About You

Successful candidates are required to demonstrate the following:

• Certificate 3 in Individual Support (Aging) or equivalent
• Community care experience (or relevant industry experience)
• Current Australian driver’s license
• Registered Vehicle, suitable for work purposes
• Pass a medical appraisal (known as FCT)

Care Aide benefits include the following:

• Smart phone & training provided to perform your work
• Hourly rate of $34.38p/h plus Super for Casual, & $27.50p/h plus Super for Part-Time.
• Minimum of 3hrs per shift for casual and perm-part time
• Travel allowance of $0.80 per kilometre for travel between clients
• Salary packaging, up-to $15,899 per year

Based on Silver Chain Group Policy and Government Directions, you will be required to provide evidence of double vaccination against COVID-19, or evidence of a medical exemption in order to commence employment with Silver Chain.
