About Red Nose

Red Nose is a national charity working to save little lives through research and education, and support families whose baby or young child has died.

Through our national safe sleeping and safer pregnancy education and advocacy programs, we work to actively reduce the incidence of preventable stillbirths and sudden infant deaths by giving parents, carers and health professionals the knowledge and skills to reduce their risks.

Since our ‘back to sleep’ program was first introduced in 1988, we have helped reduce SIDS in Australia by 85% - saving over 11,000 babies’ lives and counting.

About the Role

The Research Officer is an exciting new role for Red Nose, working 12 hours per week. The role is responsible for developing our research materials and ensuring our information and advice is informed by the latest evidence-based information.

This includes the collation of the research base from which we develop our education and advocacy content, and our bereavement care principles and practice.

You will undertake literary reviews, assist with the update of our Information Statements, and help to translate the latest research and published studies and evidence into consumer-friendly content to be used by other areas within Red Nose.

About You

Combining your experience in academic research, evaluation and communication, you will help to ensure Red Nose remains at the forefront of the latest evidence and research in Safe Sleep, Safer Pregnancy, and Best Practice Bereavement Care.

The perfect you:
