We are seeking two experienced community support workers to become part of the St Mary’s House of Welcome team. These positions will specifically target support for vulnerable members in our service. One position will specifically target support for vulnerable members of the Vietnamese community (fluency in written and spoken Vietnamese and understanding of specific cultural sensitivities is essential for these positions).
The Community Support Workers provide community-based support and build respectful and compassionate relationships with participants. You will follow NDIS support plans to build resilience, confidence and independent living skills including (but not limited to) assisting participants to appointments, provision of transport, enhancements of daily living skills and developing capacity building strategies to increase skills, achieve personal goals and build independence.
