As we lead up to our Centenary, it’s an exciting time to be joining our family. We are currently seeking a Community Fundraising Coordinator to help us achieve The Smith Family’s vision.

Reporting to the Community Fundraising Manager and working with a dedicated, energised, and passionate team in a fast-paced environment, this role supports income growth, supporter acquisition and donor engagement through the delivery and continuous improvement of The Smith Family’s portfolio of Community Fundraising and Events.

A day in the life of a Community Fundraising Coordinator might look like this, but every day can be different. Primarily, you will be responsible for:

  • Run weekly, monthly and quarterly tracking reports to evaluate income, supporter registrations and donation numbers, providing supporting commentary where required
  • Act as contact point for third party platform provides (e.g. Grassrootz and Just Giving) to ensure The Smith Family is offered fundraising opportunities provided by them
  • Inbox management: Ensure prompt contact is made with fundraisers upon registration to welcome and coordinate support where appropriate (including fundraising guidance, assistance and online page-set up etc
  • Working with the Media Team to identify key fundraiser stories for promotion
  • Coordinate the development and sending of fundraising communication pieces in line with agreed plan, tracking and reporting on results
  • Provide support to National Events Specialists, where required, in the set up and execution of National Events

Our successful candidate will bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fundraising role
  • Minimum 1 year experience in digital communication
  • Basic project management ability with a demonstrated ability to meet hard deadlines while engaging multiple stakeholders.
  • Customer service orientation and the ability to deal with others at all levels of an organisation (both internally and externally) with a results orientated and ‘can do’ attitude
