The Smith Family is an independent children's charity helping Australian children living in disadvantage to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves.

The primary purpose of this role is to assist with the day to day coordination and administration of The Smith Family Corporate Partnerships activities. A particular focus will be engaging internal and external stakeholders and ensuring data informs decisions and records are accurate and up to date. This role liaises extensively with teams such as volunteering, finance and our external suppliers.

A day in the life of our Corporate Partnership Coordinator might look like this, but every day can be different.

Primarily, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Senior Relationship Manager, co-ordinate partnership activities including project co-ordination, partner communication, administration and data analysis to enable growth
  • Monitor and maintain Corporate Partnerships assets including website, intranet (SmithNet), workplace giving platforms and, with the Philanthropy Communications team, the value proposition/ communication resources library
  • Contribute to identifying fundraising opportunities, assist with developing proposals and assist with ensuring The Smith Family is meeting its partnership commitments
  • Work across the Corporate Partnerships team and Volunteering team to ensure corporate events are fulfilled in relation to key appeals and programs (e.g. Christmas Toy & Book Appeal, iTrack, Cadetship to Career, Career Mentoring)
  • Liaise with Events and Community Fundraising team to ensure corporate fundraising events are in line with their protocols, assisting with logistics as required
  • Assist in the development of financial plans and income tracking activities
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to Corporate Partnerships managers using data to inform future planning

Want to make a difference? Our successful candidate will bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in business-related discipline e.g. marketing, business administration
  • Proven experience in a relationship or customer engagement position
  • Experience using a CRM database to support fundraising activity and analysis
  • Experience working with budgets and expenditures
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and set timeframes, with shifting and sometimes short deadlines
  • Proven customer service orientation and the ability to deal with others at all levels of an organisation (both internally and externally) with a results orientated and ‘can do’ attitude
