The Smith Family is a national, independent children’s charity helping disadvantaged Australians to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. We are now seeking a Project Coordinator, Community Hubs to join our growing team. Reporting to the Project Manager, Communities for Children, Brimbank & Community Hubs - Victoria, you will be Working with a place based project supporting migrant families and their children to connect with school and community and working with schools involved in the National Community Hubs Australia Programs, contributing to The Smith Family’s vision.

A day in the life of our Project Coordinator, Community Hubs might look like this, but every day can be different. Primarily, you will be responsible for:

  • Operational and practice support for Hub Support Coordinators
  • Support the Hub Support Coordinators in developing effective and positive relationships
  • Preparation of administrative and reporting requirements for the project
  • Collaboratively contribute to the development of Quality Frameworks and evidence based practice
  • Working across regions with regular travel from Brimbank to Dandenong

It takes a special kind of person to be our Project Coordinator, Community Hubs. Our successful candidate will bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Education, Health, Early Childhood, Human Services or related discipline
  • Experience or interest in working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting teams in a strengths based mentoring and coaching approach
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting the delivery of place based and outcomes driven programs/practice
  • Full current Victoria Driver Licence or ability to get one before role commencement.
