We are currently seeking a Project Manager, Learning for Life Model Project. Reporting to the National Manager, Policy, Practice and Analytics, and working with a dedicated and passionate team, you will lead the implementation of the project methodology, create a vision and build a collaborative culture to achieve project objectives. This will include monitoring the progress and achievement of activity milestones across the life of the project and reporting to key stakeholders.

A day in the life of a Project Manager, Learning for Life Model Project might look like this, but every day will be different. Primarily, you will be responsible for:

  • Understand the strategic and operational objectives for the Project as defined by the review requirements and the Project Steering Committee and ensure that decisions are continually assessed against these objectives
  • Coordinate the creation of a roadmap to build the required frameworks, forecasts, plans, reporting, processes, governance, tools and resources
  • Undertake day-to-day planning and management of the project management tasks within the established scope, while simultaneously planning for future requirements
  • Organise and participate in project Steering Committee and working group team meetings as defined by the project framework and roadmap
  • Work within established governance structures of The Smith Family to provide project monitoring, risk management and decision-making, ensuring all relevant internal and external stakeholders are appropriately involved and engaged
  • Ensure regular and effective internal communication is provided to all team members at The Smith Family in relation to the project. This will also include development and implementation of a change management plan in consultation and collaboration with functional areas

Our successful candidate will bring the following:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years project management for complex projects across multiple functions and/or whole of organisation
  • Extensive experience in project planning, information gathering and reporting, and forecasting
  • Experience in supporting programs of work from inception to implementation to achieve transformational/behavioural change
  • Advances project and change management skills
