As we lead up to our Centenary, it’s an exciting time to be joining our family. We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to help us achieve The Smith Family’s vision.

Reporting to the Digital Platform Manager and working with a dedicated, energised, and passionate team in a fast-paced environment, the purpose of this role is to undertake discovery of and research of customer and business needs against the business systems and processes, managing and facilitating discovery workshops - including specifying requirements for business improvement along with assisting in quality assurance provide significant contributions the customer experience. This role also demands ability to work on multiple large initiatives at the same time and help prioritise them within the agile team. Working on strategic projects, business enhancements and BAU/Lifecycle.

A day in the life of a Senior Business Analyst might look like this, but really every day will be different:

  • Managing Idea discovery and requirements elicitation. Managing and facilitating workshops and requirements gathering, undertaking the user story creation with high quality acceptance criteria
  • Working as a key participant in the team delivering and enhancing existing solutions, developing new solutions and BAU/Lifecycle activities
  • Provide clear and precise documentation to the team, UX/design, technical groups, both internal and third parties, to facilitate the development and delivery of business and customer solutions while providing a bridge between the business, the customer, UX/Design and technology
  • Advise, negotiate, and facilitate communication between the team, UX/Design, customer (internal/external), technical and other teams in order to ensure the efficient design, development, and implementation of customer and business focused solutions and associated process changes
  • Review production feedback and identify process, procedural or technology improvements to reduce re-occurring incidents and provide required support to developers when needed

Our successful candidate will bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business analysis, Digital Media, business, Project Management, Information Systems or equivalent
  • At least 5 - 7 years of experience in analysing requirements
  • Have experience working with business and customers, external vendors, escalating, and managing issues on behalf of the team
  • Managing and facilitating workshop and requirements gathering
  • Outstanding ability to manage expectations and co-ordinate activity across multiple stakeholders e.g., customers, vendors, business owners, UX designers, developers
