The Smith Family is an independent children's charity helping Australian children living in disadvantage to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. As we celebrate our Centenary, it’s an exciting time to be joining our family.

We are currently seeking a Supporter Care Representative to be the first point of contact for our current and potential supporters and donors. In this role you’ll be responsible for providing world-class supporter care and managing a range of admin duties relating to supporter care. As a champion of The Smith Family, you’ll bring your warmth, energy, and dedication to help our supporters make a difference to the lives of Australian kids every day.

About our role

• Provide supporter care to current and prospective sponsors and donors
• Initiate outbound calls to proactively build sponsor relationships and opportunities (this might be a Happy Anniversary call on anniversary of sponsorship)
• Create and develop strong relationships with supporters
• Accurately and efficiently manage all database inputs
• Handle a range of telephone enquiries, including donations and sponsorships
• Occasionally handle complex enquiries and complaints
• Provide timely responses to general enquiries through chat or email

About you

• Natural customer service approach
• Some experience in sales or business development would be a plus
• Working in partnership and being part of a fun, motivated an energised team
• Flexibility to accommodate change
• Ability to work autonomously
