Position: Consultant Psychiatrist - emerge Program - Part-time (0.1 FTE)

Working Location: Position available to be based in our Sonder Marion Centre

Thank you for your interest in applying for the position of Consultant Psychiatrist within our new emerge Marion service.

The Consultant Psychiatrist will work as part of the emerge service to provide clinical expertise and guidance to staff, ensuring the service provides appropriate and flexible intake, early intervention, responsive and recovery-focused treatment as well as intensive support within a biopsychosocial framework for young people aged 16 – 25 years with severe mental illness and complex support needs.

The Consultant Psychiatrist will work closely with the emerge Team Leader to ensure the clinical governance, policies, procedures and practices of the service are in line with best practice and high level clinical care and service delivery.

This role will support the emerge service by providing clinical supervision for emerge clinical staff; clinical review of clients; and psychiatrist consultations for young people requiring diagnostic assessment, clinical treatment strategies for ongoing management, review of treatment plans and/or medication reviews.
