Sonder is the lead agency for headspace Adelaide, Edinburgh North, Marion and Onkaparinga.

Position:

Working Location: Position located at our headspace Adelaide office

Status: Part-time to full-time (0.8 FTE - 1.0 FTE), fixed-term position

A rare and exciting opportunity has become available to coordinate the delivery of our headspace Adelaide service.

Reporting to the Executive Manager, Youth Services, this role is primarily responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality mental health services to young people, ensuring that required outputs are achieved, and that an awareness of headspace services is consistently promoted in the Adelaide region.

You will develop, implement and oversee operations and clinical service delivery, along with undertaking strategic planning to address the future growth and development of headspace Adelaide (complex care and primary platform) and headspace Adelaide Early Psychosis program. Operating under broad direction, the headspace Adelaide Centre Manager plays a pivotal role in the overall leadership, management and integration of these services.

A key leadership role within the organisation, the successful incumbent will lead from the front, be a positive role model and support, nurture and guide their team to be the best they can be.

With exceptional and professional interpersonal skills, this person will have the ability to relate and foster relationships to a diverse range of people. Experience in successfully leading a team of staff and working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to inspire and facilitate team commitment and cooperation is a must. Adept problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box to proactively innovate will be looked upon favourably.

The right person for this role will bring with them a good sense of humour, resilience and a high level of energy and enthusiasm for what they do. Your strong self-awareness and ability to reflect will be pivotal in creating and seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement within the service.

The successful incumbent will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health and management, and/or in a related allied health discipline including social work, psychology, mental health nursing and occupational therapy.
  • Full registration with AHPRA or eligibility for full membership with AASW for those with a clinical qualification.
