Learn about the position:

Location: Sonder Edinburgh North

The Research and Evaluation Coordinator will have primary responsibility for developing and coordinating evaluation and research strategies for Sonder. The Research and Evaluation Coordinator will enhance, support and provide expert advice across Sonder to facilitate the collection and use of data related to Sonder services.

The Research and Evaluation Coordinator will develop and utilise relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government, non-government, Primary Health Networks and the university sector to inform current and future Sonder research projects within Primary Health.

Reporting directly to the Executive Manager, Innovation and Excellence, your responsibilities will be:

  • Coordinate and oversee the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks for Sonder programs in collaboration with program leadership/Coordinators and ensure data collection is synonymous with the Quality Performance Framework.
  • Coordinate with program leadership/Coordinators qualitative and quantitative data collection, storage and analysis.
  • Oversight of research activities and provision of co-ordinated support and advice to ensure the safe and ethical conduct of research activities across Sonder.
  • Partner with Executive Management in the development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of processes that generate feedback, monitor client experience and outcomes, including taking appropriate action in an environment of continual improvement across programs and Sonder as a whole.
  • Liaise and collaborate both across the organisation and through the wider health system including the university sector to develop and coordinate the implementation of high quality research that contributes to the evidence base and promotes positive health outcomes.

Experience requirements:

  • Experience in working with a range of partners and stakeholders to plan, implement and evaluate health services, programs and processes for diverse populations.
  • Experience in undertaking a range of high level evaluation, research and analysis in finding relevant and appropriate sources of information, assessing its quality and usefulness and identifying the strengths and weaknesses of health strategies directed at populations.
  • Experience in utilising effective and appropriate leadership styles to motivate, support and inspire others to work together in achieving objectives in a climate of continuing change, and contributing to an environment focused on reflective practice, professional development and active collegiate learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare reports including recommendations.

Qualification requirements:

  • Degree qualifications in a field relevant to public health eg public health; health promotion, social science.
  • PHD in Social Services, Public Health, Health Services, Epidemiology or other HR fields is highly desirable.
