We are looking to appoint a full-time Research Consultant to the Evaluation and Qualitative Research team. The person in this role will be responsible for making substantial contributions to client management, evaluation and research design and proposal writing, desktop research, data collection (both qualitative and quantitative), data management, and analysis and reporting for evaluation and research projects. The successful candidate will understand what contributes to high quality evaluations and research and be able to implement rigorous standards within projects, including knowledge of ethical issues and their applications. They will be able to translate research into policy and practice so that project findings have a high degree of contextual utility and recommendations are pragmatic in their approach.
The Research Consultant will work with teams across the Social Research Centre to assure that the level of enquiry needed to address the client’s requirements is met and designs are both methodologically sound and fit for purpose.
This is a permanent, full-time position with the opportunity for hybrid work arrangements available. A suitable home workspace and computer setup, and reliable internet connection are required to work from home.
Due to the nature of the positions, some out-of-standard hours (including evenings and weekends) and overnight travel will be necessary to fulfil these roles. A full, valid driving licence is essential.
The successful applicants will be required to undergo a Working with Children Check and a Police Check prior to commencement.
To be eligible for this position you must have full working rights in Australia and be eligible to obtain Baseline Security Clearance which requires Australian citizenship.
