About the Team

The Federal Government’s Status Resolution Support Services (SRSS) program provides assistance to eligible asylum seekers, including accessing financial support, accommodation, healthcare, employment and education.

We deliver the SRSS program to eligible people seeking asylum living in the community on bridging visas. We are one of two national providers delivering services in NSW, ACT, Queensland, Northern Territory, Victoria and Tasmania.

About You

The Administration Officer provides effective and efficient administrative support relating to (but not confined to) financial processes, records management, purchasing and administrative services. The role will also provide administrative and technical skills to support and achieve program success.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor centralised mailbox for day-to-day business needs.
  • Accepting referrals on government portal and maintain records on internal Client Management System.
  • Record keeping and data matching on regular basis.
  • Utilise internal payment platform Coupa to perform review and approve invoices to be paid correctly.
  • Support case management team in relation to administration tasks
  • Supports and performs administrative requirements for various committees/meetings.
  • Assists with the preparation of correspondence, reports and minutes.

Essential Criteria

  • Qualification in Office Administration.
  • Experience as an Administrative Officer, Administrator or similar role.
  • Intermediate skills with office management software like MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically).
  • Experience with client management-based environment and system.
  • Supporting leadership and overseeing administrative department activities for staff members 
  • Directing, reviewing, and optimising client related expenses to increase accuracy, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Strong organisation skills with a problem-solving attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
  • Previous experience working with Asylum Seekers/Refugees or CALD community.
  • Experienced in maintaining accurate and complete client records using a Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM) would be an advantage.
