About the Team

The Community Hubs Support Coordinator is a part time permanent position which manages the quality framework and supports the community hub teams in Coffs Harbour. This role will foster connections to local services; across local teams and with the national team to provide holistic and locally tailored programs for families. The person who is successful will have skills in people, quality framework management and reporting . The person in this role is an integral part of delivering culturally appropriate and responsive settlement support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a coordination, liaison and support function across all community hubs within Coffs Harbour
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with hub leaders and school principals and their leadership teams
  • Establish and/or support existing local governance / advisory structures local leadership groups, including school principals and other key local organisations in each local area.
  • Support the development of collaborative practices and activities between hubs in a local area
  • Provide relevant guidance, mentoring and training for hub leaders
  • Facilitate links between hubs and local settlement services agencies, community service agencies, early years' services, and other relevant local services and organisations
  • In conjunction with hub leaders and principals, identify service gaps
  • Collaborate with other support agencies and CHA to share local stories through the national program, and undertake ongoing development of the network through a national community of practice
  • Oversee local implementation of the Quality Framework, and work with each hub to complete assessment and make recommendations to CHA

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrated understanding of the local needs of migrants in their communities including those who are humanitarian arrivals and particularly the needs of women and children 0 - 5 years
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams that deliver programs that support families in vulnerable communities
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships and collaborative alliances with community groups, community agencies, and government departments
  • Sound governance structure knowledge - including a demonstrated ability to deliver against funding agreements, meet reporting requirements and contribute to creating a culture of continuous improvement for local and national activities and identifying any conflict of interest
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience in Human Services, Community Services or relevant field, inclusive of skills related to Community Development -or a combination deemed acceptable by ACSL & the funding body.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
