About SSI - IGNITE Small Business Start Ups: Social Enterprise

Ignite Small Business Start-ups was established as a small-scale program in 2013 to support refugees and asylum seekers, establish businesses quickly and legally in Australia. Ignite has worked with over 1300 clients, helped start more than 300 small businesses and has spent more than 25000 hours doing facilitation and volunteer work to support start-ups.

About the Role

You will work closely with the Ignite operational team managing the day-to-day operations of this growing social enterprise to ensure that SSI strategic outcomes are met. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic to take their career to the next level working with a purpose driven organisation making a genuine difference to the community. Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead operational capability across onboarding, compliance, process, systems and training.
  • In consultation with key stakeholders, lead the management of any capability gaps in existing systems and resources.
  • Delivering positive change management in a social enterprise setting.
  • Develop and take ownership of data collection processes, and oversee the responsibility of all reporting requirements for IGNITE; social impact and financial.
  • Responsibility for ensuring all contractual obligations have been met.
  • Establishing service agreements and contract management as needed.
  • Ownership of any templates, document management and resource registers.
  • Develop strong relationships with the team and across the organisation to manage office operations, events and activities.
  • Supervision of a small team, and collaboration with a wider team.
  • Project management of strategic initiatives such as a potential digital hub offering fee-for-service products to our clientele.

Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area or commensurate experience and skills.
  • Demonstrated operational management experience.
  • Excellent digital and systems administration skills.
  • Extensive experience working with data collection, mapping and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal communications, written and verbal.
  • Experience developing and implementing processes and procedure.
  • Strong knowledge and capability utilising Microsoft Office 365.
  • Understanding entrepreneurial business operations (Desirable).
