We support people aged 7 and over to access the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and other mainstream services in the community. We want to ensure our workforce reflects the participants we work with to help meet their needs, and are seeking candidates with disability to bring their own experience and insight to this role.

The LAC Planner will work with the participant (and where appropriate their family and other informal supports) to determine what reasonable and necessary funded supports and services will assist the participant to achieve their goals. They will gather the relevant information, to build and develop the plan for NDIA approval. They will also work with participants to make changes through the plan review process which covers scheduled and unscheduled reviews.
As an LAC Planner, you will have great opportunities to influence the outcomes of people with disability and your ability to communicate with both participants, their families and carers will be extremely valuable. SSI will provide training to ensure your success in this role.
You possess proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels both internally, externally and with people from diverse backgrounds including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and CALD communities.
