Settlement Services International (SSI) has recently been advised of our successful tender to deliver the National Disability Insurance Scheme Partners in the Community Program (PITC), in the for the next three years. The program provides for Local Area Coordination (LAC) services to assist participants in developing or reviewing support plans as well as extensive work in the community to promote inclusion and opportunities for people to access mainstream service.
As a Local Area Coordinator (LAC) at SSI, you will be the heartbeat of the NDIA in your local community, working with people with disability and their families to access and navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Our work is varied and diverse, and it will see you connecting with people from all walks of life.

You possess proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels both internally, externally and with people from diverse backgrounds including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and CALD communities. You have demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision, manage a variety of tasks and display personal drive and integrity. All LAC Planners need to have the willingness to travel and work flexible hours and in a range of locations across areas and regions as required.
