An opportunity exists for a Senior Data Engineer / Data Analyst to join an existing high functioning Data Team, who work dynamically to meet the data and analytical needs of the organisation. This is a full-time position on an 18 month contract, aligned to a specific project within our People & Culture (HR) division, but with a view to possibly extending to a full-time permanent position. You will play a key role in ensuring a seamless transition as P&C embark on a process to transition away from numerous disparate legacy systems towards a single common HR platform.
You will be responsible for using your extensive domain knowledge to migrate historic data from several legacy systems into the new software platform. You will be required to extract, cleanse and transform historic data from multiple sources and then load them into the new platform. You will also have responsibility for developing reports and dashboards to provide the P&C division with the business intelligence required to assist with decision making.
You will need to have at least 3-5 years in a data engineering role or equivalent, with extensive experience as a database developer and proven ability working with large databases in complex environments.
Essential experience:
Although not essential, experience working with cloud infrastructures (Azure, AWS, etc) would be an advantage.
