We are looking for someone who can demonstrate premium safety skills and care of passengers needs whilst driving Councils mid-size bus fleet.

Through your every action show understanding of safety considerations and managing the risks when supporting a wheelchair or hoist dependent client.

In this important position, we're looking for someone who is a great communicator and listener, who can fit into a busy driving team with ease and enjoy the company of a diverse community of passengers from many different backgrounds who use the service. As a casual team member you'll need to be flexible with your availability and be available to work to cover periods of holidays, other leave and as an extra driver during busy periods.

Your experience and background will tell us about your ability to drive our buses as required with a high level of professionalism.

Additionally you'll need to have knowledge and demonstrated confidence when navigating the local streets and lanes safely in an inner city environment (in particular the suburbs of Stonnington) and day trip locations throughout regional Victoria on a regular basis

Mandatory requirements for this position include:

  • A current Victorian endorsed heavy/medium vehicle license
  • Current Victorian accredited driver certificate licensed to drive public buses (omnibus license) for at least 25 passengers
  • Demonstrated bus driving experience, preferably in a caring or disability service.
  • Demonstrated high level reliability, as well as enthusiasm and motivation to work in a Community Transport setting.
  • A current First Aid Certificate (level 2).
  • Ability to complete a satisfactory a national Police Check and Working with Childrens Check
